Sergey Suponev's Career

Sergey Suponev began his television career in the late 90s. He started from the bottom, working as a laborer in 1980. In 1986, he started producing his own segments for the popular youth TV show "Dо 16 i starshe" ("Until 16 and Older"). In 1989, Sergey became the host of the show "Marafon 15," and his talent as a presenter was recognized. Within three years, he was offered a position as the host of a new children's quiz show called "Zvezdny chas" ("Star Hour") by Vlad Listyev. This show became Sergey's first major success, and he went on to create his own successful projects like "Tsar gor" ("King of the Hill"), "Zov dyunglei" ("Jungle Call"), and "Dendi – Novaya realnost" ("Dendy - New Reality"). Sergey Suponev's career was on the rise, but on December 8, 2001, he tragically died in a snowmobile accident near the village of Edimonovo.

Kirill Suponev's Tragic End

Twelve years after Sergey's death, Kirill Suponev followed in his father's footsteps. However, unlike his father's accidental death, Kirill took his own life. At the age of 28, Kirill ended his life in the house he shared with his mother. Valeria Suponeva left the house for only 10 minutes, but that was enough time for Kirill to carry out his plan. When she returned home, she found her son hanging from a noose. Unfortunately, it was too late to save him. The exact reasons that led Kirill to take his own life are unknown, as he left no farewell message. However, it seems that Kirill had been struggling with certain issues that eventually drove him to suicide.

Kirill's Life and Challenges

Some may argue that Kirill had no reason to complain about his life. He had successfully completed his journalism degree at MGIMO and had gained considerable experience in television. Kirill held respectable positions, including producing and directing his own projects. He also played drums in a band called "Romeo dolzhen umert" ("Romeo Must Die"), which was set to disband in late 2013. On his final day, Kirill was supposed to travel to St. Petersburg for one of the band's last concerts. The exact reasons for Kirill's decision to take his own life remain unclear, but friends and colleagues have mentioned that he was deeply affected by career setbacks and failures. Kirill struggled to emerge from his father's shadow, as many people often compared his achievements to his father's, which were often seen as inferior. The combination of career disappointments, the band's breakup, and other personal challenges likely contributed to Kirill's severe depression, leading him to choose a tragic path as his way out.
