Biography of Konstantin Kotov

Konstantin Kotov is a former Soviet and Kazakhstani football player who played as a midfielder. He began playing football in his childhood in the neighborhood. At the "Leather Ball" tournament in Shevchenko, he caught the attention of coaches from a sports school and played his first match for "Aktau" in 1990.

In 1994, Kotov moved to Makhachkala and joined "Dynamo" before transferring to "Anzhi", which was playing in the Second League at the time. However, due to the outbreak of hostilities in the Caucasus, he was forced to leave Russia. In 1995, he returned to Kazakhstan and played for "Vostok". From 1995 to 1996, Kotov played for "Munaishi", and later he was invited to join "Zhenis" in Astana. He then played for "Shakhter" in Karaganda before joining "Tobol" in Kostanay.

In 2007, Kotov had a trial with "Astana", with whom he became the country's champion in 2001, but a contract was not signed with him. He ended his career playing for "Ordabasy" and "Taraz".

He met his future wife in his hometown, where their family was established, and their first daughter was born. After the club ceased to exist, they had to move to Astana, where their second daughter was born.
