Early Life and Education

Konstantin Viktorov, a Russian native, was born into a peasant family. He pursued education at the Saratov Fish Technical College, completing two years before joining the construction of a power plant in Kuibyshev.

Military Career

In 1939, Viktorov enlisted in the Red Army. He graduated from the Tambov Tank School and fought in the Battles of Khalkhin Gol.

Great Patriotic War

From August 1942 onward, Viktorov participated in the Great Patriotic War. As a senior lieutenant, he commanded the 199th Separate Reconnaissance Company (165th Rifle Division, 70th Army, Second Belorussian Front). He engaged in numerous reconnaissance missions, including a daring raid where he captured secret documents containing the defense plans of the city of Toruń.

In 1945, Viktorov's reconnaissance company crossed the Oder River and held a vital bridgehead for a day, repulsing four enemy counterattacks. Despite being wounded, Viktorov continued to lead the battle. He also displayed valor in subsequent battles on German soil, particularly in the capture of the city of Graz.

Later Life

After the war, Viktorov retired with the rank of captain in 1946. He settled in Togliatti, where he held party and economic leadership roles. In 1945, he joined the Communist Party of the Soviet Union.

Viktorov passed away in 1988 and was laid to rest in the Banykinskoye Cemetery in Togliatti.
