Biography of Koo Stark
Koo Stark, born Kathleen Dee-Anne Stark on April 26, 1956, in New York City, USA, is an American model, actress, and photographer. She is the daughter of film director Wilbur Stark and television presenter Katie Norris. Stark graduated from Miss Hewitt's School in New York and moved to London at the age of sixteen.
Early Career
Stark made her film debut in the 1974 movie "All I Want Is You... and You... and You..." The following year, she appeared in the films "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" and "Las Adolescentes." However, Stark gained more recognition after starring in the erotic film "Emily" in 1976, where she had to perform numerous nude scenes. This caught the attention of producers at George Lucas' studio, and in 1977, Stark had a small role in the film "Star Wars." Unfortunately, her scene was cut during the editing process, but it can be seen on the recently released "Behind The Magic" DVD.
Relationship with Prince Andrew
In the same year, Stark also appeared in another erotic film called "Cruel Passion." Shortly after, she stopped acting due to her relationship with Prince Andrew, the son of Queen Elizabeth II. Their romance lasted for several years until Prince Andrew became engaged to Sarah, the Duchess of York. Stark had a brief return to acting in 1984, with a small role in the film "Electric Dreams," but then remained out of the spotlight for a long time.
Life as a Buddhist and Breast Cancer Advocate
In 1994, it was reported that Stark embraced Buddhism and became a Buddhist preacher. Around the same time, she was married to her longtime boyfriend, playboy Tim Jefferies, who was previously involved with supermodel Claudia Schiffer. On March 17, 1997, Stark gave birth to their daughter, Tatiana.
In 2002, Stark was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent extensive treatment, including chemotherapy, which resulted in the loss of her famous long chestnut hair. In 2003, she underwent a successful operation to remove the tumor in the United States.
Current Life and Activism
Currently, Koo Stark resides in London and dedicates her energy to her organization "Keep Abreast," which supports cancer patients.
