Biography of Chris Humphries
Chris Humphries is an American professional basketball player. He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to former football player William Humphries and his wife Debra Humphries. His father was African-American and his mother was white.

Early Career
Humphries initially excelled in swimming, setting multiple records in various competitions as a ten-year-old. He held the national record for the 50 and 100-meter freestyle among boys under 10 years old. However, at the age of 12, he decided to switch to basketball.

Achievements in Basketball
Humphries quickly found success in basketball as well. In 2002, he played a crucial role in leading his high school team to win the state championship for the first time in 49 years. Despite his individual success, some critics believed that Humphries played too selfishly, prioritizing his own statistics over the team's victory.

College Career
After high school, Humphries attended Duke University and later transferred to the University of Minnesota. He continued to play basketball and was a valuable asset to his teams. However, the overall performance of the University of Minnesota's basketball team was not impressive during his time there.

NBA Career
Humphries was selected as the 14th pick in the 2004 NBA Draft by the Utah Jazz. He played for the Jazz for two seasons before being traded to the Toronto Raptors. In Toronto, he initially took some time to adjust to the team dynamics but eventually became a valuable rebounder. With Humphries' contributions, the Raptors won their first division title.

Throughout his NBA career, Humphries played for various teams, including the Dallas Mavericks and the New Jersey Nets. However, his personal life often overshadowed his professional achievements. In 2011, he married television personality Kim Kardashian, but their marriage lasted only 72 days before Kardashian filed for divorce. There were rumors of domestic violence and accusations that the marriage was a financial gain for both parties.
Despite the controversies surrounding his personal life, Chris Humphries is recognized for his talent and achievements in professional basketball.
