Kristen Lynn Johnson, the beauty queen, represented her state in the 'Miss USA' and 'Miss Teen USA' pageants. In June 2000, Kristen participated in the beauty pageant in her home state of Kentucky for the first time. To her surprise, she won the crown! Just a month later, she represented Kentucky in the 'Miss Teen USA' pageant in Louisiana, where she secured the third place and received the title of 'Miss Photogenic'. It was thanks to Johnson that Kentucky became one of the top five winners in the 17-year history of the 'Miss Teen USA' competition.

After completing her reign on a state level, Johnson returned to the University of Kentucky to continue her studies in electronic media (in May 2004, she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism with honors). She went on to win the title of 'Miss Model of Kentucky' and earned the right to represent her state in the national competition - 'Miss Model of the USA'. This time, she became the second runner-up, losing to Tashina Castigar from Indiana.

In 2005, Johnson once again became 'Miss Kentucky' and represented her state on a national level, this time in the 'adult' competition, 'Miss USA'. However, she narrowly missed out on the victory, with Chelsea Cooley from North Carolina winning the title of 'Miss USA'. Johnson, once again, finished as the first runner-up. In November 2006, she passed on her crown to the new beauty queen of Kentucky - Tara Conner, who later became the first representative from Kentucky to win the title of 'Miss USA'.

Being a beauty queen, Johnson naturally ventured into the world of modeling. She shone on TV and in the fashion industry, appearing on shows like 'Fear Factor' and 'NBC News Fashion Segment', as well as in numerous print publications. She also participated in various charitable activities. In April 2006, it was announced that Johnson had taken part in the reality show 'Treasure Hunters' on NBC. The show was filmed in the fall of 2005, and Johnson was teamed up with two other beauty queens - 'Miss Indiana' and 'Miss Florida'.

Currently, Johnson resides in Madisonville, Kentucky. She works in public relations for the company 'Trover Health System' and is preparing to obtain a master's degree. As for her personal life, Kristen Johnson is engaged, and her wedding is scheduled to take place in Mexico in 2009.
