Laura Tanguy: A Biography
Laura Tanguy, the beautiful French woman with stunning brown hair and expressive green eyes, was born on August 2, 1987. She grew up in San Antonio, Texas, USA, which is where she developed her excellent English skills. Currently, Laura resides in Ecouflant, near Angers.
A Tennis Star and Beauty Queen
Aside from her success in beauty pageants, Laura is also an accomplished athlete. She actively participates in tennis, showcasing her skills at a high level of mastery.
Miss France 2008
In 2008, Laura Tanguy won the title of "Miss France." Although she initially placed second in the competition, a controversy arose regarding the publication of Valerie Beg's personal photos in the magazine "Entrevue." These pictures tarnished the newly crowned "Miss France 2008's" reputation. As a result, the pageant's director, Genevieve de Fontenay, requested that the crown be taken away from the photo model. Valerie technically retained her title for only two weeks. However, due to a global agreement, her title remained intact, but she lost her right to participate in any other beauty pageant, including "Miss Universe 2008." She also could not attend several regional selections in France, where Genevieve de Fontenay was present.
International Beauty Contests
On January 6, 2008, the chairman of the "Miss France" committee proclaimed Laura Tanguy as France's representative for the "Miss World" and "Miss Universe" beauty pageants. In the quest for the title of "Miss Universe 2008," the contestants from over 80 countries participated in a grand photo shoot. Alongside other competitors, Laura showcased herself in a swimsuit, evening gown, and national costume. On June 19, 2008, a photoshoot in swimwear took place in Vietnam, by the pool in Ho Chi Minh City. The final competition was held on July 14 in the resort town of Nha Trang.
A Series of Titles
In addition to representing France in the "Miss Universe 2008" and "Miss World 2008" pageants and winning the title of "Miss France 2008," Laura Tanguy has already achieved several other titles. In 2007, while representing Cholet, she was chosen as "Miss Loire Valley." In 2006, she was crowned "Miss Men and Loire," and in 2005, she won the title of "Miss Chrono des Herbiers." Moreover, in 2003, Laura made it to the finals of the "Elite Model Look" competition in La Baule.
