Early Life and Education
Lauren Cyphers was born in Monterey, California, and later resided in Marina, California, before moving to Nevada. She graduated from high school in Minden and pursued a modeling career in Las Vegas. Cyphers also studied cosmetology at the Aveda Institute and earned an Associate in Arts degree from the College of Southern Nevada.
Pageantry and Modeling
Cyphers is a passionate dancer, specializing in tap dance, ballet, and jazz. She is also an avid snowboarder, wakeboarder, and enjoys cooking and shopping. In late 2005, Cyphers triumphed in the Miss Nevada USA 2006 pageant. She represented Nevada at Miss USA 2006 in Baltimore, Maryland, in April 2006, placing in the Top 15, a notable achievement for her state.
Further Success and Acting
In the following year, Nevada's representative achieved even greater success, with Helen Salas placing in the Top 5 of Miss USA. Salas had initially placed second in the state competition, but represented Nevada after Katie Rees, the first-place winner, was stripped of her title due to inappropriate photographs. Cyphers also made appearances in the television game show Deal or No Deal in April.
Cyphers had a brief role in the 2008 action film Iron Man. She is married to Bryce Massanari, a baseball player at the University of Georgia, and they have a daughter, Marley, named after the reggae musician Bob Marley.
