Early Career at Atlético Mineiro
Born in Brazil, the defender began his footballing journey at Atlético Mineiro. As a member of the club's youth academy, he eventually earned a place in the senior squad. His exceptional performances, often leading as captain and serving as the designated penalty taker, helped the team achieve remarkable milestones. During his tenure at Atlético Mineiro, he played in 101 matches and netted 14 goals.
Transfer to Dynamo Kyiv
In the summer of 2009, the Brazilian defender made a significant move to Dynamo Kyiv. Signing a five-year contract, he chose to wear the number 44 jersey. During his three-and-a-half years at the Ukrainian club, he contributed to several team successes.
Return to Brazil with Coritiba
