Leandro da Silva
Leandro da Silva is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a defender for the Polish club Górnik Zabrze.
Early Career
Leandro began his career in Brazil, playing for the clubs Nova Iguaçu and Ceará. In the summer of 2008, he joined the Bulgarian club Chernomorets Burgas. He played in the UEFA Intertoto Cup with the team, making four appearances.
International Transfers
In the winter of 2009, Leandro left Chernomorets and returned to Brazil, joining Mesquita. Later that year, he went on trial with the German club Rot-Weiss Oberhausen. In September 2009, he signed for the Ukrainian club Zakarpattia Uzhhorod, with a contract lasting until August 2011.
He made his Ukrainian Premier League debut on October 4, 2009, against Karpaty Lviv. Leandro started the match but was replaced by Oleksandr Sytnyk in the 83rd minute. In 2011, he was loaned to Volyn Lutsk by Tavriya Simferopol. He quickly became a regular starter at Volyn and was eventually purchased from Tavriya.
Return to Zakarpattia and Move to Poland
Leandro returned to Zakarpattia Uzhhorod in September 2013. In July 2014, he signed a one-year contract with the Polish club Korona Kielce. In 2015, he joined another Polish club, Górnik Zabrze. He wears the number 2 shirt for Górnik.
