Biography of Leila Bekhti


Leila Bekhti is a French film and television actress. She is known for her role as Zarka in the film anthology "Paris, je t'aime." Leila Bekhti was born in an Algerian family in the city of Issy-les-Moulineaux, in the Île-de-France region, in 1984. After completing literary school with a theatrical focus at the Maurice Genevoix High School in the town of Montrouge, she attended theater courses with Stéphane Gildas for six months, followed by a course at the art studio of Bérengère Basty.

Early Career


In 2005, she successfully auditioned for a role in the film "Sheitan," where she played the character of Jasmine alongside Monica Bellucci and Vincent Cassel. Her performance in "Sheitan" caught the attention of director Geraldine Nakache, who invited her to play a role in her film "Everything That Glitters." Prior to this, Leila played the role of Jamila in the film "A Prophet," which received numerous awards and nominations, including an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film.

Personal Life


Leila Bekhti is married to French actor Tahar Rahim, whom she met on the set of the film "A Prophet."
