Early Life and Career

Born on October 16, 1940, in Lamesa, Texas, Corbin grew up with a background in education and politics. His mother was a teacher, while his father served as a judge and state senator. After graduating from Monterey High School, Corbin pursued his passion for theater at Texas Tech University. He also served in the United States Navy before embarking on his acting career in the 1960s.

Corbin made his mark in Hollywood as an actor with a commanding presence and a penchant for playing sheriffs, military officers, and leaders. However, he also excelled in portraying antagonists, murderers, and villains. Among his most memorable roles are General Beringer in "WarGames," Uncle Bob in "Urban Cowboy," and Detective Henry Lee in "The Bridges of Madison County."
