Early Career
From 1945, Curtis began performing on both amateur and professional stages, and made his film debut in 1949 in the movie 'Criss Cross'.

He also had successful roles in comedies like 'Goodbye, Charlie', historical adventures like 'The Vikings' and 'Spartacus', where he starred alongside Kirk Douglas, and in the detective film 'The Mirror Crack'd'.
Popular Films
In the Soviet Union, Curtis gained immense popularity for his outstanding performances in the comedy 'Some Like It Hot' (original title 'In Jazz, Only Girls') alongside Marilyn Monroe and Jack Lemmon, as well as the brilliant adventure film 'The Great Race', in which Curtis and Lemmon formed an unforgettable acting duo.
Later Career
In the 1970s, Curtis also worked as a producer for several movies and had television appearances. His daughter, Jamie Lee Curtis, followed in his footsteps and became a famous actress.
