In 1988, he received the Literary Prize of the Union of Writers of the Byelorussian SSR named after Ivan Melezh for "The Sword of Prince Vyachko." In 1990, he was awarded the State Prize of the Byelorussian SSR named after K. Kalinovsky for his novels "The Sword of Prince Vyachko" and "Trope of the Sorcerer" (1988).

In addition to his historical novels, Dainyeko penned the science fiction novel "The Man with a Diamond Heart" (1992).
