Professional and Public Activities

In 1991, Litinetsky started working in the Israel Electric Corporation, and in 1995, he became a member of its labor committee. He served as a member of the elected committee of the workers' trade union in 1999 and became the chairman of the Russian-speaking Israelis organization in the same year. Litinetsky also held positions such as delegate to the World Zionist Congress in 2000 and chairman of the cooperative association "Shomer Israel" in 2001. In 2006, he became the director of the repatriates department at the Berl Katznelson Foundation and the chairman of the repatriates organization in the Labor party. He held the position of chairman of the "Zionist Council of Israel" organization in 2007 and became a member of its board in 2008.

Since 2015, Litinetsky has been serving as the official representative for relations with state and public organizations of the first vice president of the Israel Electric Corporation. From 2017 to 2019, he led the project for the construction of the "Candle of Memory" monument in Jerusalem, commemorating the Jews who perished during the blockade of Leningrad in World War II. The monument also honors the heroic acts of the residents and defenders of Leningrad, including Red Army soldiers, during the war against the fascists. The monument was unveiled on January 23, 2020, in Sacher Park in Jerusalem, in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and Israeli President Reuven Rivlin.

Career in Party and Politics

Litinetsky's political career began in the early 2000s in the party "Am Echad," founded by Amir Peretz based on a faction that separated from the Labor party in 1999. In the 2003 Knesset elections, Litinetsky was placed ninth on the party's candidates' list. However, the party only received three parliamentary seats. After the merger of the "Am Echad" party with the Labor party in 2005, Litinetsky was appointed 21st on the candidates' list for the 2006 Knesset elections. However, the party only won 19 parliamentary seats.

Litinetsky entered the 17th Knesset on July 2, 2008, replacing deputy Dani Yatom, who decided to leave parliamentary activity and retire from politics. In the 2009 Knesset elections, he was placed 18th on the candidates' list, but the Labor party only secured 13 seats. In the 2013 Knesset elections, Litinetsky ran as a candidate on the joint list of Likud and Our Home Israel parties. However, he entered the Knesset only on November 5, 2014, following the resignation of Gideon Sa'ar, a Likud deputy who left the government and the Knesset by his own will.

In the 20th Knesset's early elections in 2015, Litinetsky ran as a candidate on the list of the Our Home Israel party. However, the party only obtained six seats, and Litinetsky did not enter the parliament. During the negotiations for the inclusion of the Our Home Israel party in the 34th government of Israel in May 2016, Litinetsky served as a member of the negotiating group and was one of the authors of the party's pension reform.
