Early Life and Education

Mar'yana Bezhuhla was born on May 17, 1988, in Kyiv, Ukraine. She graduated from the National Medical University named after A.A. Bogomolets with a degree in General Medicine. She also holds a specialization in Family Medicine from the Ukrainian Military Medical Academy.

Career

After graduating, Bezhuhla worked as a physician in a polyclinic. She then joined the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine as the Head of the Reform Program for the Medical System of the Armed Forces. In 2019, she was a Senior Inspector at the Department of Civilian Experts of the Center for the Provision of Service Activities of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Political Career

In 2019, Bezhuhla joined the "Servant of the People" party and was elected to the Ukrainian Parliament as a representative of the Obolonskyi district of Kyiv. She currently serves as Deputy Chairperson of the Committee on National Security, Defense, and Intelligence.

Other Affiliations

In addition to her political activities, Bezhuhla is a member of the inter-factional association "Humane Country," which advocates for animal protection. She was also included in the list of Ukrainian individuals sanctioned by the Russian government in 2020.
