Biography of Levon Ananyan

Levon Zakharovich Ananyan (Armenian: Լևոն Զահարի Անանյան) was born on October 13, 1946, in the village of Kohba, Tavush, Armenian SSR. He is an Armenian journalist and translator. Levon Ananyan graduated from Yerevan State University, where he studied at the Faculty of Philology.

Journalistic Career

For 25 years, Levon Ananyan worked as a journalist at the publishing house "Garun". In 1989, he became a member of the Writers' Union of Armenia, and from 1990 to 2001, he served as an editor at the "Garun" publishing house. In 2001, he was elected as the chairman of the Writers' Union of Armenia.

Teaching and Non-Governmental Work

Levon Ananyan is currently a professor at the Department of Journalism at Yerevan State University. He is also the chairman of the non-governmental organization "Noemberyan" and a member of the Union of Journalists.
