American Idol Journey

Cardinale auditioned for 'American Idol' in New Orleans, Louisiana. After successfully progressing through the Hollywood rounds, she made it to the three-stage semi-finals, along with eleven other girls and twelve boys. On May 16, 2005, she was eliminated from the competition, being the first finalist to leave the show. During her time on the show, Cardinale formed a close friendship with Carrie Underwood, who eventually won the fourth season. Both Cardinale and Underwood were country singers from small southern towns. Despite the competition, they remained friends to this day.

Post-American Idol

Shortly after the show, Cardinale performed at the Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival as a way to thank her hometown for their support. However, her contract with '19 Entertainment' prohibited her from performing at such events, so she chose to showcase her skills on the drums instead. A year later, Cardinale performed cover versions of popular songs and two original tracks at the festival. She faced some harsh criticism from a couple of audience members, but she managed to handle it with grace.

Currently, Cardinale works as a model and serves as the official spokesperson for 'Bill Hood Automotive Family' in Southern Louisiana. She is also preparing to release her debut album, with Grammy-winning producer Paul Jackson guiding her.
At the end of 2007, Cardinale signed a contract with 'Aria Records,' although it appears that the contract has since been terminated.
