Biography of Lissy Trullie

American model and singer Lissy Trullie, born Elizabeth McChesney in 1984 in Washington D.C., is best known for her work in the music industry. She adopted the stage name "Lissy Trullie" when she shifted her focus entirely to music.

Early Life and Education

At the age of sixteen, Lissy moved with her mother to New York City. She attended the Walnut Hill School, a private arts school in Natick, Massachusetts, where she studied body and facial movement, dance, theater, and circus arts. After completing her studies at the Massachusetts school, Lissy enrolled at Parsons School of Design in Greenwich Village, New York, where she focused on graphic design.

Modeling Career

While pursuing her passion for music, Lissy also worked as a model, dishwasher, and even a bellhop. Her modeling career gained recognition as her photographs appeared in esteemed magazines such as Elle, SOMA, and Jalous. Lissy became the face of actress Chloe Sevigny's clothing line and served as a muse for Moises de la Renta, son of renowned fashion designer Oscar de la Renta, modeling for his clothing line.

Transition to Music

Feeling a strong inclination towards the stage and music, Lissy decided to fully transition into a music career. She signed with American Myth Recordings and released her debut album titled "Self-Taught Learner" in February 2009. The album cover features Lissy wearing shorts taken from erotic magazines of the 1970s. Lissy also signed a contract with Wichita Recordings, who released her album in Europe. The music video for her first single, "Boy Boy," was directed by renowned filmmaker Cass Bird and was filmed in the basement of Lit Lounge in Manhattan's East Side.

Lissy Trullie and the Band

Currently, Lissy is the frontwoman of the band "Lissy Trullie," which consists of four members. In addition to singing, Lissy plays the guitar, Josh Elrod is on drums, Eben D'Amico, formerly the bassist for "Saves the Day," handles the lead guitar, and Ian Fenger plays the bass guitar. The band often performs cover versions of songs by other artists during their concerts, including Biz Markie's "Just a Friend," Grammy-nominated hit "Hot Chip's" "Ready for the Floor," and Amy Winehouse's "Rehab." Lissy Trullie embarked on tours in the United States and Europe from May to June and plans to tour in the United Kingdom in September.
