Biography of Louis Gallois

Louis Gallois, born in 1944, is a prominent French businessman who has held various executive positions in the aviation industry. He is best known as the former CEO of the European aerospace corporation EADS.

Gallois began his career in the French Treasury in 1972, but quickly rose through the ranks due to his exceptional leadership skills and expertise in the aviation sector. In 1981, he was appointed as the head of the administration of the Ministry of Science and Industry, where he played a crucial role in promoting technological advancements and industrial development.

In 1988, Gallois took on the role of the head of the administration of civilian and military programs at the Ministry of Defense. It was during this time that he showcased his ability to oversee complex projects and manage diverse teams effectively.

In 1989, Gallois was appointed as the CEO of SNECMA, a leading aviation company that is now part of the EADS group.
