Biography of Luca Zidane
Early Life and CareerLuca Zidane is a French football player and goalkeeper for Real Madrid. He was born on May 13, 1998, and is the son of renowned footballer Zinedine Zidane. Luca has been a part of Real Madrid's youth academy since 2004. In 2008, he won the Youth Champions League with the club. Although he has been called up for training with the first team, he has yet to make his official debut. In the summer of 2016, Luca joined the first team for preseason training in Canada and the United States. He also made his debut for Real Madrid Castilla, the club's second team, in a Segunda B match against Real Sociedad B (3:2). In the 2016/17 season, Luca played for both Castilla and the U19 team in the UEFA Youth League.
National Team Career
Luca made his debut for the French U16 national team in 2014 in a friendly match against Italy. He also represented the U17 team, debuting on October 27, 2014, in a match against Cyprus. Luca was the main goalkeeper for the French U17 team in the 2015 UEFA European Championship. He played in all five matches, including a semifinal match against Belgium where he saved three penalties. Although he also took a penalty himself, his attempt hit the crossbar. The French U17 team went on to win the tournament, defeating Germany in the final.
