Luboš Kalouda: A Promising Midfielder
Early Career and International SuccessLuboš Kalouda (born May 20, 1987) is a Czech footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Slovácko in the Czech First League. He gained recognition after his impressive performance at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup, where he scored three goals and played a crucial role in the Czech Republic's silver medal finish.
Transfer to CSKA Moscow
Despite interest from Newcastle United, Chelsea, and PSV Eindhoven, Kalouda joined CSKA Moscow in March 2008 for a transfer fee of 5.18 million euros. He made his debut for CSKA on April 26, 2008, in a Russian Premier League match against Luch-Energiya Vladivostok.
Loan Spells and Return to Czech Republic
In 2009, Kalouda was loaned to Sparta Prague, where he won the Czech First League title. Following his return to CSKA, he was again loaned out, this time to second-tier clubs Volgar-Gazprom and SKA-Energiya Khabarovsk.
Ukrainian Adventure
In August 2011, Kalouda was loaned to FK Oleksandriya in Ukraine. He played for Oleksandriya until the end of the 2011-12 season, wearing the number 24 shirt.
Return to Slovácko
After his loan spells, Kalouda returned to Slovácko, where he has been a key player since 2015. He has helped the club achieve success in the Czech First League and Europa League, establishing himself as one of the most experienced and respected midfielders in the Czech Republic.
