Ignaz Semmelweis, an Austrian gynecologist, was born in Buda, Hungary. He pursued his medical studies in Prague, earning his doctorate in medicine in 1863.

Hospital and Clinical Work:

From 1863 to 1868, Semmelweis served as a junior physician at the General Hospital. Subsequently, he担任助理 in the Obstetrics Clinic from 1868 to 1871. In 1871, he became a private lecturer, followed by an extraordinary professorship in Prague in 1875.
