Early Career and Club Achievements

Born in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Luka Žinko began his football journey at the tender age of eight, joining the youth academy of Slovan Ljubljana. After several years of honing his skills, he moved to Interblock in 2003 to continue his development.

In 2005, Žinko made a significant milestone in his career when he signed for Domžale, a club that would become synonymous with his greatest successes. As a pivotal member of Domžale's midfield, he played a crucial role in securing the Slovenian Championship titles in both the 2006/07 and 2007/08 seasons. His contributions were further recognized with the Slovenian Supercup triumph in 2007.

International Debut and Russian Adventure

Žinko's exceptional performances earned him a call-up to the Slovenian national team in 2004. He made three appearances for his country between 2004 and 2008, demonstrating his versatility and adaptability on the international stage.

In 2010, Žinko embarked on a new chapter in his career by joining Russian Premier League side Amkar Perm on a six-month loan deal. The move presented him with the opportunity to showcase his talents in a competitive and demanding environment.

Return to Slovenia and Later Career

Following the expiration of his loan contract with Amkar, Žinko returned to Slovenia in 2011 and signed for Rudar Velenje on a free transfer. He spent the next few years at Rudar, making significant contributions to the team's success.

In subsequent years, Žinko continued his journey in Slovenian football, playing for several clubs, including Aluminij and Triglav. His experience and leadership qualities proved invaluable to these teams, helping them achieve their goals.
