Biography of Lukas Radil
Lukas Radil is a Czech ice hockey player who currently plays as a right winger for the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) club "Spartak." He received his hockey education in the "Pardubice" system, where he played for the entire Czech stage of his career. He was sent to the 1st Czech League several times to gain playing experience.
After signing a new contract with the team before the start of the 2013/14 season, Lukas was able to improve his statistical performance and become one of the top scorers in the Extraliga, earning an invitation to the Czech national team. At the end of the 2014-2015 season, Radil received offers to attend training camps of some NHL clubs and was also invited to Finland. However, he decided to go to Russia. On June 4, 2015, he signed a contract with Moscow's "Spartak."
Before Radil, players from "Pardubice" such as Dominik Hasek and Jakub Nakladal had played for "Spartak." Radil immediately became a part of the first line in "Spartak." During the season, on February 29, 2016, Radil extended his agreement by signing a contract for another two years.
International Career
Radil was regularly called up to the Czech national junior team from 2008 to 2010, but did not make it to the squad for the Junior World Championships.
In the 2013/14 season, thanks to his successful performances in the Extraliga, he received a call-up to the Czech national team, for which he has been playing regularly since then. However, he has not been called up for major tournaments such as the World Championships and the Olympic Games.
