Mohammed Al-Deayea: Saudi Arabian Goalkeeping Legend
Early Career and Club successMohammed Al-Deayea began his professional career in 1998 with Al-Riyadh. In 2000, he joined Al-Ittihad, where he has remained a key player to this day. With Al-Ittihad, Al-Deayea has won three league titles, two Crown Prince Cups, two AFC Champions League titles, an Arab Champions League title, two Saudi-Egyptian Super Cups, and reached the final of the Saudi Champions Cup in 2008.
International Career
Al-Deayea made his international debut with Saudi Arabia in 2002. He was part of the team that reached the finals of the 2007 Asian Cup, where they ultimately lost to Iraq 0-1. However, Al-Deayea's most notable international appearances were at the FIFA World Cups in 2002 and 2006. Despite not playing in any matches in 2002, he started all three games as the main goalkeeper in 2006, conceding seven goals.
