Childhood and Early Life
Madelaine Petsch was born on August 18, 1994, in Port Orchard, Washington, USA. Her parents divorced when she was young, and as her father moved back to his native South Africa, Maddie's childhood was spent flying between the two continents.
Acting Career
Petsch began dancing at the age of three and joined a theater group at five. After graduating from South Kitsap High School, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting professionally.
In 2014, Petsch landed a role in a commercial for Coca-Cola. This was followed by an episodic role as a mermaid in the TV series "Stepmother" in 2015.
Film Debut and Horror Genre
Petsch made her film debut in "The Hive" (2015), a science fiction horror film directed by David Yarovesky. She later starred in the fantasy horror film "The Curse of Sleeping Beauty" (2016).
