Biography of Cote de Pablo
Maria José de Pablo, better known as Cote de Pablo (Maria José de Pablo or Cote de Pablo, born on November 12, 1979), is an American actress. She was born in Santiago, Chile. When she was ten years old, her mother got a new job and the family moved to Miami, Florida. Here, Cote attended school and later the Carnegie Mellon University, where she graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in Acting and Musical Theater. She also graduated from the National Academy of Arts.

Early Career
Cote's first experience in performing was when she was invited to co-host the popular Latin American talk show 'Control' with Carlos Ponce. Later, while studying at Carnegie Mellon, she performed in various theatrical programs including 'The House of Bernarda Alba', 'Cloud Techtonics', 'Indiscretions', 'The Fantasticks', 'And The World Goes 'Round', and 'A Little Night Music'.

Television and Broadway
In 2001, Cote appeared in 'Measure for Measure' at the New York Public Theatre. She then landed several minor roles in 'All My Children', 'The Education of Max Bickford', 'Fling', 'The Street', and 'When I Grow Up'. In 2004, she played the lead role in the short-lived Fox series 'The Jury'. In 2005, she made her Broadway debut as Dolores Fuentes in 'The Mambo Kings' and began starring in the series 'NCIS' as Ziva David. It is this role that has brought her the majority of her current popularity.
Awards and Current Life
In 2006, Cote won the 'Imagen Award' for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Ziva David. In 2008, she was nominated for the 'Alma Award' and 'Imagen Award' for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series and Best Supporting Actress, respectively, for the same role. However, she did not win either award.
