Early Life and Education

Mahmud Abdullayev, an eminent Azerbaijani scientist, was born in Ganja in 1941. He pursued his higher education at the Azerbaijan Agricultural Institute, graduating with a degree in agriculture.

Career at the Azerbaijan Research Institute of Agriculture

From 1964 to 1999, Abdullayev worked at the Azerbaijan Research Institute of Agriculture, holding various positions. He began as an aspirant and progressed through the ranks to become a senior researcher and group leader. In 1984, he successfully defended his PhD thesis in Moscow.

Senior Scientist and Member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS)

In 1999, Abdullayev became a senior researcher at the Azerbaijan Research Institute of Agriculture. His exceptional contributions to the field led to his election as a corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) in 2007.
