Early Years and Breakthrough

Manon Bollegraf, a former Dutch professional tennis player, was born in Sassenheim, Netherlands. At the age of 21, she made her professional debut in the WTA in 1985. She achieved early success in 1986, winning her first ITF tournament in San Antonio alongside Marie van der Torre.

Rise in the Rankings

In 1988, Bollegraf won her first WTA title in Strasbourg with Nicole Provis. She also advanced to the quarterfinals of the Australian Open in doubles with Sandy Collins. The following year, she claimed her sole WTA singles title in Oklahoma, defeating Leila Meskhi. This victory, along with several semifinal and final appearances, propelled her into the WTA's top 30 in 1990.

Success in Mixed Doubles

Bollegraf achieved significant success in mixed doubles with Tom Nijssen. They won the French Open in 1989 and the US Open in 1991. In 1994, she partnered with Martina Navratilova, winning two WTA tournaments, including the prestigious Zurich Open.
