Marco Haas: A Leader of the T. RAUMSCHMIERE & Band
Marco Haas, a 29-year-old German musician, is the driving force behind the renowned German punk rock scene as the leader of the T. RAUMSCHMIERE & Band. Haas initially had no interest in singing or writing lyrics, preferring to create instrumental music where the song's title was its only text. He wanted listeners to come up with their own lyrics that resonated with them. However, he later embraced singing as a new opportunity to further express himself.

A Pioneer in German Electropunk
On July 14th, Haas and his band performed at the "B-2" club, showcasing their unique blend of German electropunk. Haas has been actively fighting against the superficiality of pop music and has established his own independent music label called "Shitkatapult." The label has released a significant amount of cutting-edge dance music in Berlin. Our correspondent had the opportunity to interview Haas before his concert.
Moscow as an Exotic and Historical Place
When asked about his first visit to Russia, Haas described Moscow as both an exotic place where he performs his music and a unique historical location, much like Berlin. He believes that many people share this view and appreciate the city for its rich history.
Collaboration with Sandra Nasic
Haas recently collaborated with Sandra Nasic, the vocalist of Guano Apes, on a song. He described her as a good friend and a fantastic vocalist, emphasizing that she was a professional musician who knew exactly what she wanted and how things should sound. Haas expressed his desire to work with her again, although their collaboration would most likely be part of her solo album.
Possibility of Collaboration with Peaches
Haas also mentioned his interest in collaborating with Peaches, another prominent musician. He noted that they had discussed the possibility but due to their busy schedules, they have not been able to record anything together yet. Haas expressed his admiration for Peaches and her work, stating that it would be great to have a joint show in the future.
The Essence of "Anarchy"
Although Haas is often referred to as a musical anarchist, he clarified that it is not his life philosophy. He believes in staying conscious and understanding what one does, consumes, and watches on television. Haas emphasized the importance of filtering the surrounding influences, which he considers more significant than simply labeling oneself as an anarchist.
The Evolution of Haas's Music
Haas's upcoming album, "Blitzkrieg Pop," will be his first album featuring his vocals. He explained that he previously focused on creating instrumental music, with the song's title being its only text. However, he decided to embrace singing as a new way to express himself further. The album carries a specific concept, protesting against the rise of cloned superstars. Haas criticized shows like "Super-Stars" and "Fabrika Zvezd" in Germany and Russia, respectively, which exploit aspiring singers for quick profit, disregarding their artistic integrity and future prospects.
A Surprise Performance in Moscow
Haas promised a special performance for the Moscow concert, where he would be playing with his band. While it wouldn't be their first show as a band, it would be their first in Moscow. Haas himself is considered a significant surprise, bringing his unique energy and style to the stage.
