Ukrainian Politician and Accountant
Liudmyla Shovkoplias is a Ukrainian politician and accountant. She is a member of the Verkhovna Rada, the Ukrainian parliament, where she represents the Servant of the People party.
Education and Early Career
Shovkoplias graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the Pryazovskyi State Technical University. She worked as an accountant at the JSC "Ukrainian Institute of Steel Structures named after V. N. Shimanovsky."
Political Involvement
Shovkoplias served as a trusted person for Volodymyr Zelensky, the candidate for President of Ukraine, during the 2019 elections. In the same year, she ran for parliament as a candidate from the Servant of the People party, appearing 107th on the party list. At the time of her election, she was unemployed and non-partisan.
Parliamentary Role
In the Verkhovna Rada, Shovkoplias serves on the Committee on Agrarian and Land Policy, where she chairs the Subcommittee on the Development of Basic Industries in the Agro-Industrial Complex. She is also deputy co-chair of the group on inter-parliamentary relations with the Republic of Latvia.
