Early Life and Education
Tetyana Reka was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine, on December 10, 1989. She received her bachelor's degrees in International Economic Relations and English Reference-Translator from Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazin. She later pursued a master's degree in International Relations and International Law at the University of Kent in the United Kingdom.
Professional Career
From 2008 to 2010, Reka served as a paralegal at the law firm "Land Exclusive" in Kharkiv. She then went on to intern in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the European Parliament, as well as the United Nations' Parliamentary Assembly. In 2014, she interned at the Business Council "Ukraine-EU" in Brussels.
In 2016, Reka became self-employed as a private entrepreneur and worked as a lobbyist for Ukrainian interests in the European Parliament. She was also involved with the Alliance of European Conservatives and Reformists in Brussels.
Political Career
In 2015, Reka was elected to the Kharkiv City Council as a member of the "Samopomich" faction. She served on the standing committee for international cooperation, investments, sports, and image projects.
Reka ran as a candidate for the Verkhovna Rada in the 2019 parliamentary elections representing the "Servant of the People" party. She successfully defeated the incumbent MP Valeriy Pisarenko and was elected as a People's Deputy of the IXth convocation.
Personal Life
Reka is an avid dancer and has won multiple Ukrainian championships in modern dance. She is also a recipient of the "Gifted Children of Kharkiv Region" award.
