Biography of Maria Pirogova

Maria Pirogova, a Russian actress, received her acting education at the Shchukin Theatre School, graduating in 2011. During her time as a student, she took on episodic roles in TV series such as "Law and Order: Criminal Intent -3" and "Univer" (playing Aisya, Sasha's friend who convinced him to get a piercing). Additionally, Maria worked at the Obraztsov Puppet Theater and participated in plays like "Divine Comedy" and "Cinderella."

In 2010, Maria Pirogova was invited to audition for the TV series "Interns" for the role of Varya Chernous. However, due to her busy schedule at the theater school, she had to decline the opportunity, and the role was given to Kristina Asmus. Nevertheless, Maria managed to appear in "Interns" a year later when she was cast as Alice, the daughter of Dr. Bykov (played by Ivan Okhlobystin).

Maria Pirogova mentions that it is easy for her to work with her on-screen father. She says, "From the very first day we started shooting with Ivan Okhlobystin, I started calling him 'papanya' (daddy). It just happened naturally." She adds, "He immediately started giving me advice like 'Stand up straight!' or 'Less girly stuff!' In short, he became my mentor. It helped a lot, but besides that, it's always fun being around him."
