Marko Jovanović: Serbian Football Defender

Marko Jovanović is a Serbian professional footballer who currently plays as a defender for Israeli club Bnei Yehuda.

Early Career

Born and raised in Serbia, Jovanović began his football career with local club Partizan in 2007. Along with Branislav Stanić, he signed his first professional contract with the club on July 23, 2007.

Club Career

Jovanović made his club debut in a Serbian Cup match against Rad on September 26, 2007, which Partizan won 4-1. He went on to establish himself as a regular member of the team.

International Career

Jovanović's international debut came for Serbia's under-21 team in a friendly match against Moldova on August 21, 2007. He was part of Serbia's squad for the 2008 Olympics, playing in all three group stage matches against Australia, Ivory Coast, and Argentina. Serbia finished fourth in their group. He also represented Serbia at the 2009 UEFA European Under-21 Championship in Sweden.
