Early Career

Thomas Delaney, a Danish footballer of Irish-American descent, began his career in the youth ranks of KB Copenhagen, a feeder club for the renowned FC Copenhagen. In 2008, he made an unofficial appearance for FC Copenhagen in a friendly match and spent the first half of the 2008/09 season with KB Copenhagen's youth team. Delaney also featured for FC Copenhagen in the 2008/09 Danish Cup, making his official debut in the first semi-final against Nordvest as a second-half substitute.

Danish National Teams

Delaney represented Denmark at the youth level, making 3 appearances for the U-18 team and 11 appearances for the U-19 team. On August 11, 2010, he debuted for the Denmark U-21 team in a friendly match against Italy.

Delaney's senior international debut for Denmark came on October 15, 2013, in a World Cup 2014 qualifying match against Malta.
