Marta Abba was an Italian theater actress who was born on June 25, 1900, in Milan, Italy. She received her training at the Academy of Art Lovers and the School of Declamation in Milan. Abba made her stage debut in 1923 at the National Theater of Milan.

Collaboration with Luigi Pirandello

In 1925, renowned playwright and director Luigi Pirandello invited Abba to join the Roman Art Theater, which performed in Italy and abroad. This collaboration proved to be a turning point in her career, as Abba quickly established herself as one of the finest Italian actresses of her time. She took on leading roles in Pirandello's comedies, including "Diana and Tuda," "The Friend," and "The Encounter."

Founding her own theater
