Early Life and Club Career

German footballer Marvin Plattenhardt rose through the ranks of Reutlingen 05 and Nürnberg before making his Bundesliga debut for the latter on December 5, 2010 against Borussia Dortmund. He scored his first goal for Nürnberg on May 11, 2013 against Fortuna Düsseldorf. In the summer of 2014, Plattenhardt joined Hertha BSC for a transfer fee of 500,000 euros. He made his debut for Hertha on August 30 in a match against Bayer Leverkusen and scored his first goal on December 12, 2015 against Darmstadt 98.

International Career

Plattenhardt made his international debut for Germany on June 6, 2017 in a friendly match against Denmark, replacing Jonas Hector in the second half. He played a key role in Germany's victory at the 2017 Confederations Cup.
