Early Life and Family

Marianna Spivak is a Russian theater and film actress who was born in Moscow on March 23, 1985. Growing up, Marianna was surrounded by an atmosphere of creativity. Her mother, actress Ekaterina Vasilyeva, and father, actor and director Timofey Spivak, instilled in her a love for the arts from an early age. Her grandparents also played a significant role in shaping her creative personality. Her grandfather was a screenwriter, film director, and cinematographer, known for his work on films such as "Voy Boru Brusnika" and "Proshchaniye Slavyanki." Her grandmother, Zhanna Prokhorenko, was an actress and People's Artist of the USSR, known for her roles in films like "Kalya Krasnaya" and "Ballad of a Soldier." Both her mother and grandmother graduated from the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography, while her father received his education from the Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS).

Marianna Spivak's interest in acting began in her teenage years. She actively participated in school performances and took part in various theatrical activities. Despite initially considering other career paths, such as becoming a veterinarian or journalist, Marianna realized her passion for acting in her senior years of high school. With the help of her friend Daria Moroz, who was already studying at the Moscow Art Theatre School, Marianna prepared for her entrance exams and was accepted into several prestigious theater schools, including the Shchukin Theatre School, the All-Russian State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK), and the Moscow Art Theatre School (MXAT). Marianna chose to pursue her acting education at MXAT and graduated with honors.

After completing her studies, Marianna joined the Satirikon Theatre Company, where she performed in various plays, including "Richard III," "King Lear," and "The Balzaminov Family." Marianna also lends her voice to dubbing works, having voiced characters in films like "R.I.P.D." and "Paranoia."
