Early Life and FamilyMatt Hookings was born in Wales on July 7, 1989. His father, David Pearce, known as the "Welsh Rocky," was a renowned British heavyweight boxer. Sadly, David passed away in 2000 at the age of 41 due to sudden adult death syndrome. Matt's mother, Mary, remarried a man named Richard.

Hookings' acting debut came in the German-British war drama "Resistance" (2011), where he played a German soldier. In 2013, he landed a lead role in the sci-fi comedy "Looking for Simon." That same year, he branched out into directing and producing with his short film "The Marauders" and founded the production company Camelot Films.
As a producer, Hookings has been involved in several acclaimed films, including "I Love My Mum" (2018), "Winter Ridge" (2021), and "The Grand Duke of Corsica" (2021).
