Entrepreneur from Poland
Matt Wegryn, the 19-year-old founder of Bodis.com, is a highly successful young entrepreneur hailing from Poland. He has made a significant fortune by purchasing and reselling domain names on the internet.
Early Beginnings
Wegryn began developing HTML website templates from a tender age. By the time he was 15, he had developed a keen interest in programming. He immersed himself in ColdFusion, the scripting language, and acquired extensive knowledge about the internet, domain names, and related topics.
Domain Business Ventures
Wegryn's first successful domain purchase and resale was Htmltalk.com. With a $120 loan from his father via PayPal, he purchased the domain and resold it for $500. This marked his official entry into the domain name business.
Advice for Young Entrepreneurs
Wegryn offers two key pieces of advice to aspiring entrepreneurs. Firstly, he emphasizes the importance of perseverance. "Honestly, all I really know is that I failed at the beginning, but I kept trying—and by the end, I came out a winner. I mean a real winner, with money," he says.
Secondly, Wegryn advises against being too easily swayed by business proposals. He suggests responding cautiously with phrases like, "Yes, I'll think on it as an option for our company, and if it's something we can do, we'll let you know."
Business Deals and Success
By following his advice, Wegryn has negotiated deals worth over $50,000 and has amassed a six-figure income. He advises entrepreneurs to keep their options open and to consider all proposals, as not every plan will necessarily succeed.
