Early Life and Education

Maxim Sokhatsky was born on November 26, 1980, in Kamyanets-Podilsky, Ukraine, to a family of educators. His mother, Yevhenia Ivanovna Sokhatska, was a Ukrainian literary scholar and public figure, while his father, Erothei Grigorievich Sokhatsky, taught music at the university and was a skilled violinist.

In 1998, Sokhatsky graduated with a gold medal from the Kamyanets-Podilsky Private Academic Lyceum "Antey." His passion for programming emerged in the fifth grade, where he participated in a programming club. In the ninth grade, he competed in the Republican Olympiad, coached by renowned teacher Serhiy Savchuk.

In 2005, Sokhatsky earned a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics from the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute." His thesis focused on developing a system for managing business processes.

Academic Pursuits

In 2016, Sokhatsky pursued doctoral studies at the Faculty of Applied Mathematics at the same university. He attended lectures at Carnegie Mellon University in the United States and Vrije Universiteit in the Netherlands. His dissertation explored conceptual models for theorem proving systems based on Homotopy Type Theory. He also developed a course on the subject for students.

Professional Career

Sokhatsky's first professional role in his field was with the international company International Land Systems, Inc. (Thomson Reuters). He participated in developing document management systems for several countries, including Jamaica, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Egypt.

In Ukraine, Sokhatsky gained recognition as the creator of "Deposits" for the state-owned bank PrivatBank and the document management system MIA:Dokumentoobih for the state-owned company INFOTECH.
