Meagan Monique Good is an American film and television actress. She was born on August 8, 1981, in Panorama City, California, USA. Good began her career at the age of 4, appearing in numerous commercials, TV shows, films, and music videos. She grew up in Canyon Country (now Santa Clarita), California, with her three siblings, under the guidance of her mother Tyra Doyle, who also served as her manager, and her father Leon Good, a Los Angeles police officer.

Early Career

Good started appearing in television shows such as "Doctor Doctor" and "Amen" at an early stage of her career. When she was 13 years old, she landed her first film role in the hit comedy-drama "Friday" in 1995. However, her breakthrough came with the role of a troubled teenager in Casey Lemmons' critically acclaimed drama "Eve's Bayou" in 1997. For her performance, Good received two film awards, including her first nomination for the NAACP Image Award.

Rise to Prominence

After several small roles in films and TV shows over the years, Good began to take on more mature roles in the early 2000s.
