Early Life and EducationMelik Dadashov was born on June 7, 1924, in Baku, Azerbaijan. He pursued his passion for the arts by attending the Azerbaijan Institute of Arts, graduating in 1951.
Theatrical Career
After graduating, Dadashov joined the Azerbaijan Drama Theater named after M.S. Azizbekov, where he showcased his exceptional talent. He also imparted his knowledge through teaching at the Baku State Theater Institute. His dedication to the theater was recognized with his induction into the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1958.
Film and Television
Beyond the stage, Dadashov ventured into the world of film and television. His filmography includes notable roles in "Two from the Same Neighborhood" (1957), "Koroglu" (1960), "Our Street" (1961), "The Last Night of Childhood" (1968), "The Untamed Kura" (1969), and "The Last Pass" (1971). He portrayed historical figures in "Dmitri Kantemir" (1973) as Sultan Ahmed III and "Post-Tomorrow, at Midnight" (1981) as Nariman Narimanov.

In recognition of his contributions to the arts, Dadashov was honored with the title of People's Artist of the Azerbaijan SSR on June 1, 1974. He shared his passion for acting with his brother Salyan and son Rafael, both of whom became actors.
