Melvin Boothe – The Man with the Longest Nails in the World

Melvin Boothe, also known as the Man with the Longest Nails in the World, holds a record in the Guinness World Records. The total length of his nails measures 9.85 meters. While there is a lot of focus on women's nails, with an entire industry dedicated to making them look better, healthier, and more luxurious, men's nail care is still not on the same level. However, it turns out that men are just as interested in nail length, especially if it can earn them a record in the famous Guinness World Records.

Melvin Boothe, from Pontiac, Michigan, did not cut his nails for an unknown number of years. However, in May 2009, representatives from the Guinness World Records measured his nails, and they totaled 9.85 meters in length. Unfortunately, Melvin Boothe did not enjoy his title as a Guinness World Record holder for long, as he passed away in December of the same year at the age of 61.

Interestingly, there is a rather amusing video on the internet where Melvin Boothe meets Lee Redmond, the famous holder of the record for the longest nails among women. The camera captures the two of them walking together, carefully holding their hands with their precious "record-breaking" nails. Unlike Lee, whose nails are quite straight, Melvin's nails are heavily curled, especially at the ends, resembling spirals.

So, 9.85 meters, or almost 10 meters, represents the male record for the longest nails on hands.
