Monique Allen: A Victim of Surgical Addiction
Monique Allen is an American transgender woman who has fallen victim to a rare addiction – surgical addiction. For a long time, she has spent almost all of her disposable income on new rounds of silicone injections, paying a high price for her obsession. Monique Allen has undergone over 200 plastic surgeries, with more than 12 liters of often low-quality liquid silicone injected into her body. Despite the initial grace and charm she possessed, her uncontrollable desire to constantly change her body has turned her into a grotesque figure.
The High Cost of Uncontrolled Desires
Monique Allen's addiction to surgical procedures has not been beneficial to her. Legal plastic surgery clinics often refused to operate on her, leading her to rely on illegal and less competent doctors. At times, she was willing to travel to Tijuana to seek the services of underground surgeons, even when she only had a few hundred dollars in her wallet. As a result, Allen now pays a high price for the mistakes of her youth – her numerous surgeries have left her handicapped. She struggles to walk and has lost hope of regaining her former beauty. Her body is now plagued by the consequences of the injected silicone, which hinders blood circulation and causes necrosis of the skin. She must conceal the dead patches of skin with thick layers of makeup.
A Journey into Surgical Addiction
Monique Allen took her first step towards her current state at the age of 22 when she underwent gender confirmation surgery. Soon after, she had surgeons help her acquire the voluptuous breasts she had always desired. However, her desire for physical perfection spiraled out of control. The injection of silicone into various parts of her body seemed harmless at first but resulted in unforeseen consequences. Allen disregarded the darkening of her skin around the silicone injections and paid no attention to the reputation of her doctors. One of her surgeons, John Reginald 'Butcher' Brown, later received a prison sentence for medical negligence resulting in death. It was too late when Allen realized her mistakes, and she now struggles to rectify the damage done.
Beyond Personal Redemption
Monique Allen has already spent approximately £100,000 on removing excess silicone, but she has been unable to fully resolve the problem. However, she plans to redeem herself by helping others avoid the mistakes she has made. Allen has repeatedly drawn public attention to the increasing number of deaths among young and attractive women due to cosmetic surgeries. She presents herself as an unfortunate example of the fate that awaits those who fall into a similar path. Allen firmly believes that "silicone has no place in the human body," a sentiment shared by anyone who has witnessed her current condition.
