Early Career
Arthur Ian Duxbury, an English football legend, began his professional career at Everton before making a significant move to Manchester United in 1976.
Manchester United Success
As a right-back for United, Duxbury played a pivotal role in the team's triumphs, winning two FA Cups in 1983 and 1985. His exceptional performances earned him a place in the hearts of United fans.
International Career
Along with his club accomplishments, Duxbury represented England on the international stage, earning 10 caps for his country.
Later Years
In 1990, Duxbury left Manchester United as a free agent and joined Blackburn Rovers. Despite missing out on the FA Cup triumph that season, he continued his playing career abroad with Golden FC in Hong Kong and Bradford City back in England. He retired from professional football in 1994.
Coaching and Scouting
After hanging up his boots, Duxbury transitioned to coaching. Currently involved in Manchester United's M.U.S.S. (Manchester United Soccer Schools) program, he has extensive experience in youth development. Duxbury has also worked as a soccer coach at Bolton School and played a vital role in talent scouting in Hong Kong and Dubai.
