Biography of Michal Mikeska
Michal Mikeska is a Czech ice hockey player, known for his skills as a forward. He was born on October 12, 1979, in Trsice, Czechoslovakia.
Early Career
Mikeska began his hockey career in his hometown of Trsice, playing for the local club. In 1998, he made a move to the Czech Extraliga team, HC Pardubice, where he quickly established himself as a talented player.
Championship Success
In 2005, Mikeska became a champion of the Czech Republic, winning the national championship with HC Pardubice. He also finished as the top scorer in the Czech Extraliga that same year, with 55 points.
Move to Russia
In the summer of 2006, Mikeska made a move to the Russian Superleague team, Salavat Yulaev Ufa. He had a successful stint in Russia and went on to win the gold medal in the Russian championship in 2008.
Return to Czech Republic
During the 2009/2010 season, Mikeska returned to the Czech Republic and signed with HC Ceske Budejovice. He played for the team for the next two seasons before eventually retiring in 2014.
Coaching Career
After retiring from professional ice hockey, Mikeska transitioned into coaching. He started working with the junior and senior teams of HC Pardubice. On December 9, 2019, he became an assistant coach for the main team of HC Pardubice.
