Early Life and Family Background
Tigran Davtyan was born in Yerevan in 1973, into a family of esteemed performers. His father, Karen Dzhanibekyan, was an actor, while his grandfather, Gurgen Dzhanibekyan, was a legendary Soviet People's Artist.
Introduction to the Stage
Tigran's first taste of the stage came at a young age, when he starred in two feature films while still a schoolboy. After completing evening school, he joined the Armenian Shaumyan Theater in Tbilisi. His stint there lasted for three months before he returned to Yerevan to pursue higher education.
Theatrical Journey
Prior to enrolling at the Yerevan Art and Theater Institute, Tigran gained experience at Ruben Toumanian's Children's Theater and later at the Young Spectators' Theater (TYuZ). In 1994, he graduated from the institute under the tutelage of renowned master Z. Tatentsian.
