In 2017, she made her Broadway debut in Ayad Akhtar's "Junk." She returned to Broadway in 2023's revival of Lorraine Hansberry's "A Raisin in the Sun," portraying Mame Parodus Bryson, for which she received a Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role in a Play.
